ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNICIAN PROGRAM

The Army Artificial Intelligence Technician Program is an immersive 36-month development pathway designed to build the Army’s next generation of AI-enabled talent. The program begins with 32 weeks of academic instruction at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh, PA, where participants complete Artificial Intelligence Cloud Administration, Programming with Python, Data Engineering, and other industry-recognized certifications.

After completing CMU coursework, candidates transition into 20 weeks of applied learning at the AI Incubator, where they engage in hands-on practice, emerging technology exploration, and real-world problem solving. The final phase includes 24 months of project-based experience with the Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C), applying AI-enabled capabilities directly to Army missions and modernization efforts.

The program seeks Soldiers with exceptional promotion potential and a strong desire to lead the integration of AI across the operational force. Commissioned officers, warrant officers, and noncommissioned officers who want to be at the forefront of Army digital transformation are encouraged to apply.
